Why first-year students want to enroll in CSP

CSP is an alternative to standard first year science, suitable for students who have broad scientific interests and want to explore the sciences in a community of like-minded students. In addition to science lecture courses limited to CSP students, CSP includes a workshop course with 28 students per section. This course enables CSP students to work in small groups that facilitate development of friendships and supportive academic learning groups.

We have made the decision to cancel the Coordinated Science Program for the 2020-2021 academic year.

In UBC Science, we are working hard planning for ways that all incoming students can engage in a supportive community for your first year.  We look forward to connecting with you over the summer, and through the upcoming academic terms.  Watch your email for the "Distillation" about other first year opportunities.
