UBC Science is improving our first-year options

After careful evaluation, UBC Science has discontinued Coordinated Science, and will no longer be offering the option to first-year students. The First Year Focus: Computation program is a good fit for students looking for a cohort-based program that provides a foundation in the computational sciences and supports future coursework in disciplines ranging from from the life sciences to earth sciences and more.

First Year Focus: Computation

First-year UBC Science students interested in a cohort program should consider First Year Focus. FYF helps students build a strong foundation in the computational sciences in a supportive, cohort-based program. You’ll form friendships, be part of an inclusive community of diverse students, and build the skills you need to explore a wide range of disciplines as you advance to second year at UBC Science.
